Enter manual orders faster with inline item editing, one-off items, delivery charges, and order terms.

== Description ==

Alkamy Order Editor helps merchants take orders by phone, message, or over the counter on the WooCommerce order screen they already use.

= Edit order items where they appear =

Click a shaded item name, price, quantity, or total. Enter saves, Esc cancels, and Tab saves and moves on. A catalogue item's order name can change without renaming its product. Saved changes recalculate taxes and totals and leave a private order note.

= Add products and one-off items =

Search the new-item row for a catalogue product, enter a one-off item with an optional note, or add a delivery charge. One-off items do not require a catalogue product and have no stock, SKU, or weight.

= Keep terms with each order =

Set default order terms and edit the copy on each order. Show them in WooCommerce order emails and customer order pages. The PDF Invoices & Packing Slips for WooCommerce integration can include them on invoices. Changing default terms does not rewrite earlier orders.

= Free and Pro =

Free includes inline order editing, item entry, delivery charges, and order terms. Alkamy Order Editor Pro for WooCommerce adds the invoicing workspace, custom fields and sections, block-based PDF layouts, document exports, automatic invoice attachments, saved terms presets, discounts, repeat orders, offline payment recording, and draft-product creation. Pro requires Free.

= Current status and limits =

Version 1.0.9-alpha is an alpha candidate, not a published WordPress.org or WooCommerce.com listing. Test it on a backup copy before live use.

Line editing follows WooCommerce's editable-order rules and protects refunded orders. Recalculating replaces manual tax overrides and reapplies coupons. Fixed cart coupons can apply to one-off items; product coupons need catalogue products. Changing an order does not reconcile money already collected.

The plugin supports HPOS and post-based order storage. Subscriptions, bookings, bundles, external tax services, and physical mobile devices need separate testing. The source README links to the quality workflow and its coverage limits.

The Free plugin does not send order data to external services. Deactivating it preserves order lines and terms, but stops its terms display in emails and customer pages.

== Installation ==

1. Install and activate WooCommerce.
2. Upload the supplied ZIP under Plugins > Add Plugin > Upload Plugin, then activate it.
3. Open a Pending payment or On hold order under WooCommerce > Orders, or create a new order.
4. Add a product or one-off item in the new-item row. Click a shaded value to edit it.
5. Add order terms and click Update. Set default terms under WooCommerce > Settings > General > Order terms.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Do I need to create a product for a one-off item? =

No. Enter the item name, price, and quantity in the new-item row. It stays on that order without a catalogue product. Pro can later save typed items as draft products.

= Can I change a paid order? =

Line editing follows WooCommerce's editable-order rules. If you change a paid order's status to make it editable, settle any payment difference through your normal payment workflow. Orders with refunds stay protected.

= Does Free create PDF invoices? =

Free provides order terms and an integration with PDF Invoices & Packing Slips for WooCommerce. Pro provides Alkamy's own layouts, PDF previews, downloads, and invoice attachments.

= Does it work with HPOS? =

Yes. Both HPOS and post-based order storage are supported. See the repository's quality documentation for tested combinations and CI execution status.

= Where do order terms appear? =

In WooCommerce order emails and customer order pages, according to the switches under WooCommerce > Settings > General > Order terms. Terms are saved on the order itself.
