Turn an idea into a tested strategy.

You quote a price to buy and a price to sell. Earn the spread when orders fill. Control the inventory you carry when the market moves.

Pip exits, reversal entries, hold times and test batches run in the FX workbench. Its synthetic scenarios can cover multiple days; imported historical files use their full coverage.

01 Describe your edge

Try “mean reversion” to lean toward the recent average, “momentum” to follow a move, or “neutral” to focus on inventory.

02 Review your quotes

A wider spread asks for more per trade but may fill less. Larger fills build exposure faster. The inventory cap limits units held long or short.

03 Test after costs

Run a session, inspect fills and drawdown. Net P&L includes fees and values open inventory at the final mid. A profitable synthetic run is a hypothesis to test further.

Candle extrema come from observed mid-price samples; intraminute wicks and traded volume are unavailable. These are not historical trade bars. Quotes and fills use the original simulator; candles do not create new execution evidence.

Closed-candle patterns

    Confirmed support / resistance

      What the pattern names mean

Doji, hammer / hanging man, inverted hammer / shooting star, bullish / bearish engulfing, inside bars, harami, marubozu, morning / evening star variants and three soldiers / crows use explicit shape and context rules. Star variants do not require session gaps.

The trend summary uses the last six closed candles. It labels advancing or declining movement when the net price change exceeds 35% of the sum of their high–low ranges; otherwise it labels two-way movement. This is a descriptive rule, not a prediction of when a trend starts. Swing points need two later closed candles for confirmation. A first-candle reversal cannot be known with certainty.

Patterns are descriptive candidates. Predictive value, frequency and performance after costs have not been measured. Zones come from five-bar swing extrema and are available only after two bars to the right close. They are ATR-width bands, not guaranteed price barriers. The chart starts each band at its confirmation time.

      Before events & confirmed turns

Observed setup first · realised outcome labelled separately

Events here are authored simulator phase changes, not economic announcements. The event study compares the 20 minutes before the boundary with the next 20 minutes, once observed. A confirmed swing turn is a hindsight label with a later confirmation time.
